My name is Foroogh Kazemi. I was raised in Tehran and spent my career in education, first as a middle and high school teacher, then as principal of a large public high school from 1990 to 2002. After retiring, I served as vice principal of a private high school for 12 years.
I believe good leadership means listening, solving problems fairly, and helping people work together. Many of my former teachers still call me for advice, and I am grateful for that trust. I moved to Houston in 2020 and live with my husband and daughter.
I am learning English as I believe learning never stops at any age. I ask a lot of questions and like to see the facts before I decide. I think that is exactly what a committee member should do. I would be honored to serve our community.
