Join us for a day of speakers, book talks, special performances and a film screening of Persepolice as we celebrate the 9th Annual Books on the Bayou. This event is sponsored by Iranian Cultural Foundation-Houston (ICF) & Inprint.

The program will include the unique – youthful, yet aged – sound of Fared Shafinury – Iranian-American setar virtuoso and composer who paints an ancient Persian landscape with a modern indie-Texan touch. He’s been featured in numerous publications such as the Huffington Post and PBS’s Tehran Bureau, and released three new music videos, one of which having gone wildly viral in the youthful Iranian community.
